I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Post-Master’s Certificate student at Johns Hopkins University. While my current role at Mosaic is as an intern, I am not new to healthcare, to mental health treatment, or to psychotropic medication prescribing. I have been a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP) for over a decade, working as a primary care provider at a federally-qualified health center, providing urgent care services in retail clinics, and even delivering care to persons without housing on an RV “mobile clinic.” I also currently work in a psychiatric private practice in an FNP role.

I’m thrilled to now pivot into specialized mental health care, where I seek to better connect with my patients and understand their mental health needs while viewing them holistically. I understand that starting on psychotropic medications can be daunting and anxiety-provoking, and I am ready to listen to patients’ concerns and approach them in a non-judgmental and evidence-based manner. In the end, it’s the patient who decides on treatment with the prescriber there as a guide.

I am also a local Oak Park resident with two young children.  I am available at the Oak Park location to see patients ages 6 and up.
