"Healing takes time, and asking for help is a courageous step."- Mariska Hargitay
Hello! My name is Savana. I have a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and I am a licensed social worker here in Illinois. I believe in a person-centered approach to therapy and strive to empower clients to take control of their therapeutic process. I have experience in higher level of care settings, including both inpatient and intensive-outpatient programs. I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I believe in traditional individual therapy as well as alternative non-traditional methods that are utilized today. I aim to provide a space where clients feel safe, understood and accepted. Together, we will work to find attainable goals and learn coping skills that meet your unique needs. Your story is important, and I am honored to share this space of healing with you!
