Licensed Clinical and Health Psychologist I’m a licensed Clinical and Health Psychologist with a doctorate from the Adler School of Professional Psychology. My clinical experience spans a wide range of settings, including group homes, psychiatric hospitals, Level II trauma and rehabilitation centers, medical clinics, and private practice. My journey into psychology began as a pre-med student at Benedictine University, where I majored in psychology to stand out from other science-focused students. What began as a strategic choice quickly became a passion, as I grew increasingly fascinated by the complexities of the mind-body relationship. This path led me to pursue advanced training in health psychology, including a fellowship at Tampa General Hospital where I merged my interests in both physical and mental health. After completing my fellowship, I worked as a consultant in private practice and medical clinics. I later accepted an opportunity to work in Dubai, UAE, as a Clinical and Health Psychologist. Over the course of my 4.5 years in Dubai, I broadened my clinical perspective and deepened my understanding of mental illness and human resilience. That experience inspired me to return home to Illinois in 2020, committed to providing culturally-informed, integrative care. In my practice, I work with adults (18+) using evidence-based approaches—primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy—to help clients bridge the connection between mind and body. I work with clients to bring together the many parts of their lives (mental, physical, personal, familial, professional) in efforts to bring parts into unity, rather than in conflict. I see therapy as a collaborative process, where my clients take an active role in shaping the course of therapy and their life paths. Alongside treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and providing parent training and psychoeducational assessments, I specialize in Health Psychology. In recent years, both personal and professional experiences have redefined the way I approach my work and life. After losing my aunt to cancer in 2015 and witnessing my mother’s journey through breast cancer, I’ve developed a deep commitment to helping individuals, families, and friends find purpose and hope beyond medical diagnoses. When I’m not working, you can find me with family and friends. I value quality time with the people I love. I also enjoy staying active, baking, traveling, and seeking out new adventures. As a former basketball player and middle school basketball coach, I often bring that same energy and creativity into my clinical work. My clients have described me as “not your typical psychologist,” because I love to work outside the box and create meaningful moments in and out of the therapeutic space.
