Leslie Frame-Crowley
LCSW
I support individuals, couples, and families across a wide variety of life stages with challenges big and small, unique and universal. I enjoy working with clients of all kinds, and I have a special interest in supporting parenthood and intergenerational dynamics.
While therapy can be essential to meeting some of life’s bigger moments, it can also be an excellent resource for navigating smaller moments and making meaning of our experience. I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is essential to effective treatment, and this is where I begin. I approach this relationship with the belief that you are the expert of your own experience. Often, identifying the challenge comes first. However, I think it is just as important to identify the intrinsic strengths that will help you to overcome the challenges you face.
I use an eclectic approach to treatment using many frameworks including mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, attachment styles, and psychodynamic approaches. I am currently pursuing Gottman Level 1 Certification to bring to my work with couples. Being a social worker, I also maintain a person-in-environment perspective, meaning that we are all directly impacted by and always impacting the communities of which we are a part.
Outside of work, I love to write, connect with friends, and road-trip. As a native Chicagoan, I also love exploring the amazing neighborhoods of our city.
