Isabella Danusiar

I believe that healing and growth are always possible, and that therapy can be a powerful tool to connect you to the wellness you hope for and seek. I believe therapy offers a safe relational space where you can explore your experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and move toward meaningful change. I envision the therapeutic space as one where you are supported to become curious about the parts of yourself you have learned to avoid, criticize, or hide, and to meet those parts with greater understanding and self-compassion. I am particularly interested in working with children, adolescents, and emerging adults who are navigating experiences of anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, trauma, relational challenges, identity formation, religious trauma, and grief. My approach to therapy is rooted in collaboration, compassion, cultural responsiveness, patience, and curiosity. I am particularly drawn to Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I also believe that play, humor, and mindfulness can be powerful tools to support your growth. Every person is unique, and I am committed to exploring and customizing the approaches that I use to best fit the needs of each individual I work with. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Counseling at Garrett Seminary in Evanston. It is an honor to come alongside you as you journey towards wellness, and I am excited to encounter your story and witness your growth.
