Hello! I’m Francesca, a licensed social worker with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where I specialized in school social work. For over 7 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting students in both general and special education settings as a school social worker. In addition to my work in schools, I now see clients in private practice—creating a supportive space for children, adolescents, and adults.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults ages 5 through young adulthood who are navigating anxiety, behavioral challenges, trauma, life transitions, day-to-day stressors, and family dynamics. My therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based practice, and person-centered care, helping clients build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and reach their personal goals.
Through my work in both school and clinical settings, I’ve seen firsthand how emotional challenges can affect every part of a child’s life—from academic performance and friendships to self-esteem and behavior at home. I tailor each session to the unique needs of the client, using evidence-based strategies in a way that feels relatable, empowering, and developmentally appropriate.
At the core of my work is the belief that a strong, trusting relationship makes all the difference. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where people feel safe to express themselves, explore their challenges, and build the skills they need to thrive. I also value close collaboration with parents and caregivers and, when helpful, coordinate with schools to ensure consistent support across settings.
If you’re looking for a therapist who understands the intersection of school, home, and emotional well-being—and who brings both clinical skill and heart to the work—I’d be honored to support you and your family.
