Therapy is more than just a process—it’s a journey of healing, self-discovery, and growth. Over time, I’ve come to understand that mental health is as integral to our well-being as physical health, and therapy is a vital tool in maintaining or restoring that balance.
For me, therapy has represented a safe space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences that I may not have felt comfortable sharing elsewhere. It’s a place where I can be honest with myself, without fear of judgment, and where I can work through emotions that, at times, have been difficult to process on my own. I've come to see therapy as an empowering process—one that allows individuals to better understand themselves, their behaviors, and their relationships with others.
I am a third-year Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at Marquette University. I approach case studies and therapeutic models with an open heart and mind. I believe that therapy is as much about human connection as it is about techniques and theories, and my ability to connect with others strengthens my understanding of counseling. I am committed to understanding how culture, race, gender, and other factors shape an individual’s experiences and worldview.
