Addy Caprio

Hi! I’m Addy Caprio, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly two decades of nursing experience. My interest in mental health began long before I entered psychiatric practice and has remained an important part of my work throughout my nursing career. Working in neonatal and perinatal care gave me a unique opportunity to support the mental health and well-being of patients, families, and the healthcare professionals caring for them during stressful and life-changing experiences. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, college students, young adults, and adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, neurodivergence, and concerns related to life transitions. I especially enjoy ADHD care and helping individuals and families better understand attention, executive functioning, behavior, school or work challenges, and treatment options. I believe that understanding ADHD can be just as important as treating it. I also have a special interest in perinatal and reproductive mental health and supporting people throughout the parenting journey—from simply considering parenthood, to fertility challenges, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and parenting. I also value supporting fathers, partners, and other non-birthing parents, whose mental health needs can sometimes be overlooked during these transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I believe effective treatment begins with understanding each person’s experiences, strengths, relationships, and goals—not simply identifying a diagnosis. I work alongside my patients to develop individualized treatment plans and want every patient to be informed, empowered, heard, respected, and actively involved in decisions about their care. I’m proud to be part of the Mosaic Counseling and Wellness team and look forward to supporting patients and families in our community.
