I was born and raised in Chicago Illinois and graduated from The University of St. Francis with a BA in psychology and a minor in Spanish. During my undergraduate career, I worked passionately with underserved communities and engaged in advocacy work for underrepresented populations. My passion led me to attend graduate school at The Adler School of Professional Psychology where I obtained my master’s in clinical mental health counseling.
I leveraged my history of advocacy work and passion for equality to continue my journey in social justice. I began my professional counseling career at Riveredge Hospital as an intern, and after some years was promoted to Director of Social Services where I currently work in providing care to patients from all walks of life.
I practice from a multicultural lens and understand the importance of individualized care. I work with clients utilizing an eclectic orientation, rooted in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. I specializes in working with multicultural clients of all ages who may be struggling with depression, anger, aggression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, academic stress, family conflict, and conflict with gender identity/sexual orientation.
